Description

This barn, now used as a store, is located at the southeast corner of the garden walls of Chilworth Manor and is dated 1767 on the brick. It is constructed from sandstone rubble with brick dressings and quoins, topped with a plain tiled roof. The building has a rectangular shape and features brick dentilled eaves and gable end windows. There is a door at the center of the west side that is accessed by a flight of three steps. Inside, the barn has a staggered, butt-purlin roof. It is included in the listing for its group value context.
