Description

Dorking Arch is a bridge built in the 1860s by the Lovelace Estate. It is constructed from coursed flint rubble with brick dressings and coping. The bridge features long ramped retaining walls leading to the arch. The main arch is adorned with an outer band of billet moulding, and there is additional billet moulding at the base of the parapet coping. The parapets are pierced by ten brick-edged lozenge-shaped openings.
