Description
Rowbarns Cottage is a cottage built in 1861 in the Lovelace Style. It is constructed of flint rubble with brick and terracotta dressings, topped with slate roofs featuring ridge cresting. The building has a T-shaped plan and stands two storeys high, with a gable end facing the street. A quatrefoil pattern band runs above the ground floor, and there is a stack at the centre of the gable end, adorned with two shields and plaques. Each floor has one casement window on either side of the stack.
The entrance front, located to the right, features a projecting gable bay at the right end, which displays three shields and crests at its apex. The first floor has three casement windows with original glazing bars, set under cambered heads and within chamfered surrounds. There is one similar window on the ground floor to the right. A pentice roofed, open porch is situated at the centre, with a door to the left.
