Description
Outdowns Lodge is a lodge built in 1859 by the Lovelace Estate. It is constructed from random flint rubble with red and blue brick dressings and features slate roofs with bargeboards. The building has two storeys, with a single storey extension at the front and rear. A stack is located on the gable end that faces away from the street. The entrance front is positioned at right angles to the street and includes a decorative brick band of ovals and panels above the ground floor, along with a decorative brick plinth. The lodge has metal casement windows set beneath chamfered brick heads and label mouldings, with one window on each floor and an additional window in the ground floor extension. There is a 20th-century panelled door situated in the re-entrant angle between the main house and the extension. Additional windows can be found on the left-hand return front and on the rear catslide.
