Description

The Cottage is an early 18th-century house, with 20th-century extensions to the left end. It is colourwashed with a roughcast finish on a rendered plinth, and has a plain tiled, half-hipped roof to the right and a gabled roof to the left. There are front and rear ridge stacks to the left, and a ridge stack to the right. The windows are wood-framed with leading, and there are five windows on the first floor, including a "Venetian" window to the right of centre above the entrance. One four-light first-floor window and one two-light ground-floor window are in the extension to the left. Four windows are located on the ground floor to the centre and right of a door, which is sheltered by cornice hoods. A flat-roofed porch with panelled pilaster piers on scroll brackets sits at the front. An angle bay window is situated on the right return front. 20th-century extensions are present at the rear. Internally, original ceiling frames are visible.
