Description
The stable block, now converted into a house, was built in 1873 by the architect G E Street. It features a snecked sandstone plinth with a timber frame above, infilled with red brick. The roof is half hipped and covered with plain tiles, adorned with stepped ridge cresting. There are star-shaped ridge stacks positioned to the left of the center and a corbelled stack at the left end. The building is single storey with an attic, showcasing a central gabled double loft door that is tile hung. Modern roof light casements have been added. The ground floor has four diamond pane leaded casement windows set in wooden frames. To the right end, there are two double garage doors, and a projecting wing at the front left has additional double doors. The rear right features gabled and hipped roof dormers, with four windows below, connected to the main house by a brick wall. At the time of the re-survey, the building was undergoing conversion and is included for its group value only.
