Description
The stable block, now a house, dates from the early 19th century. It is built of squared and coursed limestone with a Welsh slate roof and features two 20th-century brick ridge stacks. This simple two-storey structure has seven bays and arched openings. It has a large ashlar block parapet without coping, and the central bay is set forward with a 3:1:3 arrangement of windows, topped by a simple pediment over a recessed arch that contains a glazed wide door beneath a radial fanlight. On either side of the central bay, there are windows, a door, and another window, all featuring 20th-century twenty-pane sashes and multi-pane doors, each with radial fanlights. The first floor has a series of long horizontal sashes. A continuous plain swing runs through at the arch springing. The returns are plain, and there are late 20th-century dormer windows at the back. This building is included for its group value.
