Description

Meadow Cottage is a former hall house dating from the 16th century, with an extension added in the 17th century. The front is timber-framed and clad in red and brown brick, with a plain tiled roof, hipped to the left. It is two storeys high. A corbelled rear ridge stack is situated to the right of the centre. There are three casement windows on the first floor and three cambered-head casement windows on the ground floor. A planked door is located to the right of the centre, sheltered by a hipped porch supported on wooden posts.

Inside, evidence survives suggesting the presence of an original internal jetty. An old exterior wall is visible within the property, as is some wind bracing in the roof. A deep brick fireplace has been inserted.
