Description

East and West Burdens is a house, originally dating to the 16th century, that was refronted in the 19th century and restored in the 20th century. It is now divided into two dwellings. The building is timber-framed and clad in whitewashed brick, with restored plain tile roofs. It has two storeys, with a square ridge stack at the left end and a rear stack to the right wing. The windows are 20th-century casements, with six windows on the first floor and six below. A door is located to the left of centre, and a glazed door is to the right of centre. The interior retains considerable amounts of exposed timber framing.
