Description

Burchatts Farm Cottages are 18th-century cottages that may incorporate an earlier structure. They are built from red brick in Flemish bond with blue brick headers and feature a plain tiled roof that is half-hipped to the right and extends in a catslide to the rear. The cottages are two storeys high, with an extension to the right, a front stack to the left, and a corbelled stack to the right. There is a plat band above the ground floor. On the first floor, there are two casement windows and two blocked windows, while the ground floor has two cambered-headed casements and one blocked window. The right-hand extension has one 3-light window on each floor, both of which are now blocked. To the left of the centre, there is a door with four sunk panels under a 20th-century pent hood. At the rear, there is an outshot with a hipped roof dormer that has exposed angle posts at the centre. The property was boarded up and near derelict at the time of the last survey.
