Description
Holt Lodge is a house that was formerly cottages, dating from the mid-to-late 18th century, with some alterations made in the 19th century. It is constructed of red and grey brick in Flemish bond and features a plain tile roof. The building has two storeys, a garret, and a cellar, all resting on a brick plinth. There is a plat band and a dentilled brick eaves cornice. The gabled roof has end stacks. The windows are arranged irregularly, with three sixteen-pane sashes in open boxes on the upper floor and two similar windows on the ground floor set in wider blocked openings that have segmental heads and splayed red and grey brick voussoirs. The entrance features a door with four recessed panels, located in a 19th-century red and grey brick porch that has a gabled plain tile roof and is positioned towards the centre of the building. At the rear, there is a slightly later parallel range made of red and grey brick, which has a lower ridge and a stack towards the right end. Additionally, there is a short two-storey red brick addition from the 20th century towards the centre of the rear. The interior has not been inspected.
