Description
Beech Tree Farm House is a farmhouse that dates from the 17th century or earlier, with a right end addition that was partially rebuilt around 1703, along with later alterations in the 18th and 20th centuries. The structure is probably timber-framed, featuring red and grey brick in Flemish bond on the right end, with similar brickwork of a slightly later style on the rest of the facade. The roof is covered with plain tiles and has two storeys set on a brick plinth with a flint base. A plat band runs around the right gable end and the rear of the right section, and the roof is hipped. There is a brick ridge stack located to the right of the centre. The windows are irregularly arranged, consisting of four casements: two three-light windows to the left of the stack, one two-light window beneath the stack, and one three-light window to the right. Two of the ground-floor windows have segmental heads. The entrance features a half-glazed door with a flat hood situated under the stack. A decorative datestone on the right section is inscribed with the year 1703. The interior has not been inspected.
