Description

The Stanley Memorial, located 60 yards east of the Church of St. Michael and All Angels, is a memorial dedicated to the explorer Henry Morton Stanley, who lived from 1841 to 1904. The memorial consists of a stone monolith that stands approximately 15 feet high and features an inscription with a cross. In front of the monolith, there is a small plot that is bordered by smaller upright stones. The memorial is listed for its historic interest.
