Description
Numbers 1 to 3 Tudor Close are a group of three houses dating from the mid-19th century. They are built of red brick with a pitched roof covered in fishscale tiles. Numbers 1 and 2 are symmetrical in design, arranged around four window ranges, with the outer two ranges topped by gables featuring elaborate bargeboards and drop finials. Two hipped roof porches are set into the angles created by projecting sections at each end, also featuring similar gables and pitched roof verandahs supported by brackets. A single-storey extension with a crenellated roof projects from the south end. Number 3 has a decorative band and four window ranges, with gables above one and two-and-a-half windows respectively. A lean-to porch is supported by brackets. Number 1 has an elaborate moulded brick stack, and Number 3 has a brick stack with elaborate cornicing. All windows are pointed casements with diagonal glazing bars.
