Description

This lamp post, located approximately 40 yards southeast of Chestnut Lodge in Whiteley Village, dates from around 1912. It is made of cast iron and features a square base with a diagonally framed basket top. The lamp post has a four-legged tapering standard, and the lantern is topped with a decorative finial, which is supported by a doubled scroll-work S-curve arm.
