Description

This is a 17th-century barn located 10 yards north of Manor Lodge in Claygate. The barn is timber framed, with breeze block infill at the ends and weatherboarding on the south side. It has a plain tiled roof that extends down in a catslide to the south. The structure is rectangular and consists of four bays, featuring central opposing carriage doors, with the southern door set in a hipped roof projection. There is a 20th-century asbestos-roofed barn at right angles to the north. Inside, the barn showcases Queen-strut construction with bracing.
