Description
The Gardener's House is a late 18th-century house located on Claremont Park Road in Esher, within the Borough of Elmbridge. It is constructed of red brick with a plain tiled roof that is partially hidden by a parapet. The building has two storeys set on a brick plinth, featuring a plat band over the ground floor and a string course over the first floor that breaks to form a moulding above a central pediment.
The first floor includes five glazing bar sash windows beneath gauged heads, with the central three set in a pedimented bay. On the ground floor to the left, there is a casement window. The central entrance features a six-panel door with a transom light, situated beneath a steep pediment supported by Doric pilasters or piers.
On the left-hand side of the house, there is another six-panel door also set under gauged heads. The garden front consists of three bays, highlighted by an arched central pedimented bay, with three arches featuring gauged heads in the outer bays. The glazing bar sash windows are complemented by a lunette window above a central glazed door, which is framed by a recessed arch surround.
