Description

Franklyn House is an 18th-century front applied to an older building, situated on Surrey Road in Lickfold, Surrey. The house is constructed of stone set in galletting, with red brick dressings and quoins. It features a parapet with a central pediment and seven window openings. The windows are set within brick arches, each with a keystone, and the ground-floor windows have brick dripmoulds. Original glazing bars are present, and framed stone panels are placed below the windows. A blocked roundel is located above the centre first-floor windows. A modern gabled porch has been added, along with a modern ground-floor addition to the south. The house is two storeys high and has seven windows, four of which have been blocked and replaced with tile hanging.
