Description

This is a house from the 18th century that was refronted around 1820. It is built of coursed limestone rubble with an ashlar front and has a hipped Welsh slate roof with stone and brick stacks. The building has a double-depth plan and is two storeys high, featuring a symmetrical three-window range. The entrance has a six-panelled door with a decorative fanlight, which is set in a pedimented stone doorcase supported by Tuscan columns. The windows are eight-pane sashes, and there is a moulded cornice above the window located over the door. The rear elevation, dating from the mid to late 18th century, has segmental brick arches over early 19th-century sashes. Inside, there is a fine early 19th-century staircase, although only partial inspection has been possible. Additionally, there is a limestone ashlar gatepier from around 1820 attached to the right of the house, featuring a moulded cornice and a pineapple finial.
