Description

The Ellis chest tomb, located about 5 yards north-east of the Church of St Mary in Shipton-under-Wychwood, is an early 19th-century structure. It commemorates Richard and Ann Ellis, who both died in 1812. The tomb features panelled sides and end piers, topped with a corniced capping, and is constructed from ashlar stone.
