Description

BURFORD AND HIGH STREET AND SIGNET (East Side) SP2512 (Enlargement) Apple store, coach- 7/51 house, stables and flanking garden walls abouts 50m East of Riverside House.

GV II

Coach-house with applestore over and stables, now garaging and stores. C18. Coach-house ashlar with chamfered quoins and open 1st floor, 3 bays with ashlar piers, brick and timber infilling. Hipped stone slate roof. 2 storeys; string to 1st floor. Two segment-arched ground-floor garages of C20. Irregular later C18 stable extensions to right of single storey and attic: the left hand part is a rubble stable with gabled loft entry, right hand part has mansard roof, partly open-fronted. The East wall of these buildings is the churchyard West boundary wall which extends to North and South, about 12 feet high, and runs from the river to the Western gates of the churchyard (q.v.). A picturesque group.
