Description
The building is a coach house with an apple store above and stables, now used for garaging and storage. It dates from the 18th century. The coach house is constructed of ashlar stone with chamfered quoins and features an open first floor supported by three ashlar piers, with brick and timber infilling. It has a hipped stone slate roof and is two storeys high, with a string course at the first floor level. There are two segment-arched garages on the ground floor that were added in the 20th century. To the right, there are irregular later 18th century extensions for stables, which include a single-storey rubble stable with a gabled loft entry and a right-hand section featuring a mansard roof that is partly open-fronted. The east wall of these buildings serves as the west boundary wall of the churchyard, standing about 12 feet high and extending from the river to the western gates of the churchyard. This creates a picturesque group of structures.
