Description
The building is a coach house and cottage located approximately 20 meters northwest of the Manor House in Little Tew. It dates from the late 17th century to early 18th century and has been altered in the late 20th century. The structure is made of limestone and marlstone rubble, with some ashlar dressings, and features a Stonesfield-slate roof. It is a single range building with one storey plus an attic.
On the left side of the front, which was formerly stables, there are two tall casements and a doorway, all with segmental arches, along with two hipped dormers. There is a segmental-arched carriage entrance located to the right of the center, and to the extreme right is the segmental-arched tack-room doorway. The gables have parapets. To the right, there is a single-bay lower extension that includes a two-light casement with lattice glazing. The rear of the building has a blocked opposed cart entry. The interior has not been inspected. This building is possibly an early conversion of a barn and is included for its group value.
