Small Stable Approximately 15 Metres South West Of Grove Farmhouse

This small stable, located approximately 15 meters southwest of Grove Farmhouse, is likely from the late 18th century and has undergone minor alterations. It is constructed from roughly coursed and dressed marlstone rubble, featuring alternating angle quoins that extend to the gable ends. The roof is made of concrete tiles with coped verges. The stable is a single storey with a hayloft. The front gable includes a segmental-arched doorway on the left and a 20th-century casement window with a wooden lintel in the center. There is also a central plank door leading to the first floor, which is positioned where a segmental-headed opening has been infilled. The left wall has a 20th-century window with a wooden lintel and two triangular air vents. The roof structure could not be inspected during the last survey in August 1987.
