SHIPTON-UNDER-WYCHWOOD HIGH STREET SP 2617-2717 (west side) 7/75 The Lodge, Shipton Leys - and The Stables GV II Villa with stable wing, converted. Early C19. Coursed rubble, ashlar band over ground floor and corner piers; hipped slate roof with wide eaves. Two storeys, 3 windows, glazing bar sashes. Central Tuscan portico, abaci decorated with linked circles, blocking course over, 2-panel oak doors with radiating and weathered fan- light. Two bay returns. Stables set back to west, 4:1 bays with wall chimney, 2 storeys, linked to rear wing of house by elliptical archway.
