Description

The Medgraet Tomb, located about 40 yards north of the Church of St Mary in Shipton-under-Wychwood, is a chest tomb dating from the mid-18th century. It is constructed of ashlar and features panelled sides with a moulded capping. The end piers of the tomb are adorned with circles in relief. The tomb commemorates William Medgraet, who died in 1760, although the date is somewhat difficult to read.
