Description
The building is a dovecote and bakehouse, likely dating from the 17th century. It is constructed of part-rendered limestone rubble with some ashlar dressings and features a Welsh-slate roof. The structure has a square plan and consists of two storeys plus a loft.
The entrance front includes a plant, with a door positioned to the left and a central, renewed two-light casement window on the first floor, both featuring wooden lintels. Below the eaves, there is a single row of dovecotes. The left gable wall has a blacked doorway at the first-floor level, while the right gable wall features a large rectangular projection for a bread oven. The right wall and rear are roughcast and have quoin decoration at the angles, all of which was renewed in the 20th century. The gable parapets have projecting moulded kneelers and triangular copings.
Inside, there is a large open fireplace that includes a bread oven, and the loft floor is lined with stone nesting boxes.
