Description
Syccamore House is a house that was likely remodeled in the early 19th century, originally built in the 18th century. It features coursed squared rubble construction, timber lintels, and a stone slate roof. The house has three storeys and a three-window range. The central door is framed by a reeded doorcase and has a flat hood supported by consoles. The ground and first-floor windows are 16-pane sashes, with two of the windows located to the right of the door, while the second-floor windows are casements that also include glazing bars. There are two gable-end chimneys made of brick and shaped iron ties. A stair tower is located at the rear of the house. To the left, there is a single-storey kitchen extension that features a three-light casement window. The front garden wall is made of rubble and has chamfered coping along with an iron gate. Although the interior has not been inspected, it is noted to have a vaulted cellar.
