Description

Merton Cottage is an 18th-century house located in a row of buildings on the north-west side of Brown's Lane in Charlbury. It is constructed from coursed squared rubble with timber lintels and features a stone slate roof. The cottage has two storeys and an attic, with a two-window range. To the left, there is a flush-panelled door that includes an overlight with vertical glazing bars and a 20th-century hood supported by consoles. On the ground floor, there is a 16-pane sash window, while the first floor has sash windows with glazing bars, along with two hipped dormers. The interior has not been inspected.
