Description

Brookfields is a house dating from the late 17th or early 18th century, with a 20th-century extension. It is constructed of coursed squared marlstone with a concrete roof covered in plain tiles, and features brick gable stacks. Originally a two-unit plan, the house was later enlarged to three units. It has two storeys plus an attic. The front has a central doorway positioned between wide three-light casement windows, all with flat arches. Above are two smaller three-light casement windows with wooden lintels. The roof has a gable parapet on the left-hand side, extending over the 20th-century bay to the right. The rear elevation features a central gabled stair projection with canted sides that rise to the attic level. The interior was not inspected.
