Description
No. 6 Mill Lane is a house dating from 1742. It is constructed of coursed limestone rubble with ashlar quoins and dressings, topped with a gabled Welsh slate roof and featuring a brick stack at the right end. The house has a 2-unit plan and stands two storeys high with an attic, presenting a symmetrical two-window facade. A timber lintel is positioned over a late 19th-century plank door that has a 20th-century hood. There are keyed flat stone arches above 18th-century transomed cross windows and gabled roof dormers. A fire insurance plaque is located to the right of the door. To the left, there is a 19th-century one-storey range. The interior has not been inspected but is noted to have chamfered beams.
