Description

The Goodwin Tomb, located about 20 yards north of St Mary's Church in Shipton-under-Wychwood, is a chest tomb from the early to mid-18th century. It is constructed of ashlar stone and features panelled sides, with quarter balusters at the corners and a moulded capping. The tomb commemorates Joseph Goodwin, who died in 1736, although the inscription is difficult to read.
