Description

Ivan House and Church View are a pair of terraced houses, likely dating from the mid-19th century, although they present an appearance characteristic of the mid-18th century. The houses are constructed of rubble with raised freestone dressings, and have a slate roof with coped verges. They feature three chimneys built of mixed materials. The three-storey facades have a coved cornice and broken round end pilasters. Each house has three windows, with glazing bar sashes in moulded architraves, each with a keystone. The ground floor shows alterations from the mid-19th century, with a central four-panel door in a wooden lattice porch for each house. Flanking these are angled bays, all surmounted by a common wooden hood. The houses do not appear on a drawing of the area by Buckler, dated 1826.
