SPELSBURY SP32SW 7/147 Barn approx. 1.1km NNE of Spelsburydown, Dean

Barn. Late C17/early C18. Coursed limestone rubble with wooden lintels; artificial stone-slate roof. 6-bay plan with opposed double doors in bays 2 and 5, and each side a deep porch to the left entrance. Walls have some triangular vents and 2 pitching doors. Roof has half hips to the main gables but full hips over the porches. Interior: trusses have tie beams and coilars, and they support 2 rows of staggered butt purlins; rafters are probably later.
