Description

Pear Tree Cottage is a small house, likely originally subdivided, dating from the mid-18th century. It is constructed of roughly coursed limestone rubble with wooden lintels, and has an artificial stone-slate roof with rebuilt rubble gable stacks. The building follows a two-unit plan, with an attached outshut to one side. The house has two storeys and an attic. The front elevation, featuring three windows, has two-light casement windows on the first floor. On the ground floor, there are two two-light windows to the left of a 20th-century porch, and a three-light window to the right. Traces of blocked doorways are visible on both sides of the house. The roof has two gabled dormers. An outshut extends to the right. The interior has not been inspected.
