Description
Number 17 on West St Helen Street is a 17th-century building with a rough render finish on a timber frame, and modern brickwork to the right. It stands three storeys tall and features two gables facing the road, topped with a tiled roof. Each gable has two windows with flush framed casements that do not have glazing bars, and there is a small moulded cornice above them. The first floor has later windows, which include six-light transom and mullion windows with casements that also lack glazing bars. These windows are set within a segmental arched wooden architrave topped with a wooden cornice. The ground floor has a modern shop front with a flat arched door.
