Description

No. 24 High Street is a building dating from the late 18th century or early 19th century, with a core that is probably timber framed. It stands three storeys tall and is finished in stucco, topped with a slate roof supported by paired modillions. The front elevation features two double-hung sash windows with moulded flush frames and glazing bars. The windows on the first floor are adorned with a frieze that includes lozenge and circle ornamentation, along with a cornice. Above the modern ground floor shop front fascia board, the building has a coved detail. This property is part of a group that includes Nos. 20, 24 to 28 (even) and The Grapes Inn.
