Description
No. 4 West St Helen Street is an early 19th-century building that stands three storeys tall and is constructed of brick. It features a wooden eaves cornice beneath a tiled roof. The façade has three windows, each with flat brick arches. On the ground floor, to the left, there is a small shop front supported by Doric pilasters. This area includes two fielded doors, a rectangular fanlight above, and a wooden hood resting on carved brackets. To the right, there is one window with a stone flat arch that has a keystone, and it contains a double-hung sash with glazing bars. The building also has a brick plinth. No. 4, along with Nos. 2 and Lombard House on Lombard Street, form a group of buildings of architectural significance.
