Description
The building at 16 and 18 Lombard Street dates from the early 19th century, and may incorporate the facade of an earlier structure. It is three storeys high with a basement, and has two windows. The roof is covered with plain tiles. The exterior is red brick with block headers, a projecting corbelled brick eaves cornice, and brick bands between the floors. The windows are sash windows with recessed frames, architraved exposed boxing, and original glazing bars, though the ground and first floor windows are currently boarded up. They are set within segmental arched openings with gauged segmental brick arches. Segmental arched doorways have bracketed wooden pedimented hoods and panelled doors. Two gables are visible on the side elevation. Numbers 4 to 20 (even) form a group.
