Description

8 and 10 Lombard Street comprise one building, dating to the early 19th century, and representing a refronting of an earlier house. The building is two storeys high with gabled dormers. It has three windows. The roof is covered with plain tiles, and the exterior is red brick with block headers. A wooden box gutter is supported by projecting, corbelled brick eaves. There is a cement plinth. The windows are flush sash windows with exposed architraved boxing and original glazing bars; the ground floor windows are currently boarded up. The ground floor openings, including doorways, are situated under wide segmental brick relieving arches. The doorways have square headed, recessed architraves, a plain panel above the door, and panelled doors. Nos. 4 to 20 (even) form a group.
