Description

A pair of cottages, now combined into a single house, dating from the 18th century. The construction uses squared chalk blocks laid in courses, with a base of sarsen stone, and chalk quoins. The roof is thatched, and there are brick stacks. The building was originally two separate cottages, each of two units, creating a four-unit plan. It is two-and-a-half storeys high, with a four-window front. Timber lintels span the 20th-century door and casement windows, with one casement blocking a door on the right-hand side. The roof is gabled, with end stacks. The interior was not inspected. The building is listed for its group value.
