Description

This is an 18th-century pair of cottages, located on the south side of Shrivenham High Street. The buildings are constructed of colourwashed rubble stone with brick quoins and window surrounds. They have a gabled roof covered in machine tiles, with brick stacks at each end. The cottages are arranged as one range of two bays each, and have a first-floor attic space. Number 29 has two gabled dormers, each with a two-light, six-pane casement window. The ground floor features a 19th-century sash window with margin lights, set beneath a wooden lintel, and a plank front door with a four-pane rectangular fanlight. Number 31 is a single bay and has a dormer with two panes.
