Description

The well head, dated 1867, is located approximately 10 meters south of the Eagles Close Almshouses. It is constructed of orange brick and features limestone ashlar engaged angle columns. The roof is cross-gabled with a moulded ridge. Above the octagonal stone, there is a datestone from 1867, which has a cast-iron pipe set in raised quatrefoil relief. Beneath the pipe, there is a stone water trough, and a wheel is located in the right side wall. This structure is included for its group value.
