Description
Nos. 48 and 50, West St Helen Street form one building, originally dating from the 17th century. They are timber-framed, with the two upper storeys originally overhanging the street. The facades are now rough-rendered and covered with rendering, and the roof is tiled. A rendered plinth is present. No. 48 features a flush-framed casement window and a four-panel door with a reeded architrave incorporating roundels, and a hood supported by consoles. The first floor has three windows with flush-moulded frames and double-hung sashes containing glazing bars. No. 50 has a flat carriage entrance and a single window with a flush frame and double-hung sash containing glazing bars, alongside a four-panel door.
