Description
Nos. 31 and 33 on East St Helen Street is an 18th-century house, possibly built in the early 19th century, featuring an ashlar front. The building has a slate roof that overhangs on modillions and has a panelled soffit. It stands three storeys tall, with a band that continues across the cills on the first and second floors. There is a fire plaque present. The house has two windows with flat arches, double hung sashes with glazing bars, and iron balconettes on the first-floor windows. The entrance features a five-panelled door with a flat arch, accessed by two steps and a foot scraper. The chimney stack is red and yellow, while the building is constructed of red brick, with part of the side being tile hung. Nos. 17 to 35 (odd) form a group.
