Description

These are a pair of mid-19th century buildings on East St Helen Street. They have a tiled roof with overhangs supported by paired modillion brackets. The construction includes brick, stone rusticated quoins, and a plinth. Each building has two windows with no glazing bars, set within stone rusticated architraves and keystones. Round arched doorways, also in rusticated stone with keystones, lead to six-panel doors, each topped with a glazed fanlight. Flat hoods are supported by carved brackets above the doorways. Numbers 43 to 61 (the odd numbers) form a group.
