Description
Helensbourne is an L-shaped building located at 32 and 34 East St Helen Street, dating from the 16th or 17th century. It features rough rendering with a rendered plinth and a tiled roof. The building has two storeys and attics, with three gables. Each gable includes one three-light flush framed mullion window beneath a frieze and cornice, along with one flush framed sash window on the first floor, also under a frieze and cornice.
On the ground floor, No. 32 has a two-light sash window with glazing bars in a flush frame, accompanied by a plain door. No. 34 features two three-light double hung sash windows with glazing bars in moulded flush frames, situated under a frieze and cornice. There is a single-storey addition to the left of No. 32, which is from the 19th century, also rough rendered with a plinth. This addition has a gable facing the road, featuring four-light mullion and transom windows set in a rusticated stone architrave, along with a small stone ventilation opening in the gable.
