Description
Cowdrays is a house located on Cat Street in East Hendred, likely built in the early 18th century. It is constructed of red brick featuring flared headers in Flemish bond, topped with an old plain-tile hipped roof that has lead ridges. The house has brick ridge stacks on the left and in the center, with an end stack on the right. It is two storeys tall with an attic and has a three-window range, with a cross-wing that projects to the right. The central entrance features a six-panel door with a 20th-century moulded wood surround. All openings are fitted with three-light wood casements that have segmental brick heads. There are also two gabled full dormers, each with two-light casements. The interior has not been inspected.
