Description

Magpie Cottage is a 17th-century house located on the east side of Hyde Road in Denchworth. The building features square or rectangular timber framing and had no roof at the time of the survey. It includes a stone stack that is finished in brick. The house has a two-unit lobby-entry plan and stands two storeys tall with a three-window range. The entrance features a 20th-century door and casement windows. There is a ridge stack present. Inside, the cottage has plain beams and joists, along with exposed timber framing, although the original roof was destroyed by fire.
