Description
Three Roses Cottage is an early 18th-century house built of Flemish bond brick with flared headers. The top of the right gable wall features herringbone brick infill to a timber frame, and the cottage has a thatched roof with brick stacks. It has a three-unit lobby-entry plan, is one storey with an attic, and has a four-window range. The windows have segmental arches made of alternating red and flared brick, with a 20th-century door and 20th-century ground floor casements. There are also 20th-century casements in the half-dormers. The roof is half-hipped, with a ridge stack and an external stack on the left gable end. A 20th-century brick outshut has been added. The interior, which was not inspected, is noted to have chamfered and stopped beams, a chamfered bressumer, and a bread oven in the fireplace.
