Description

Pound House is a house dating from the early 17th century. It features roughcast on timber-framing and has an old plain-tile roof with a brick ridge stack located to the right of the center. The original layout was a three-unit cross-passage plan, but a chimney stack was inserted into the cross-passage, converting it to a three-unit lobby-entry plan. The house is two stories high with a three-window range. There is a six-panel part-glazed door to the right of the center, and the windows have an irregular arrangement of casements. Although the interior was not inspected, it is noted to have a queen-post roof.
